Semaglutide

Compounding involves creating customized medications to meet the unique needs of individual patients. For instance, some patients might need a liquid version of a medication that is only available as a pill. Additionally, compounding can address shortages of FDA-approved drugs by creating necessary medications.

Compounded medications are made by state-licensed pharmacies that follow  state regulations, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.

Peptides First collaborates with compounding pharmacies such as Striker  to provide compounded Semaglutide, which contains the same active ingredient as found in Ozempic and Wegovy. Importantly, Peptides First offers only the Semaglutide base, identical to the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy, and does not use semaglutide salts, which differ from the active ingredient in those medications.

Peptides First collaborates with state-licensed compounding pharmacies to produce compounded semaglutide. Compounding is regulated in licensed pharmacy. A licensed compounding pharmacy must adhere to both federal and state laws, including administrative requirements and quality standards.

Compounded Semaglutide through Peptides First is available in Florida.

Get started with GLP-1 medication

Compounded Semaglutide is a weekly shot that uses the same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy.

As an alternative to FDA-approved branded products, where appropriate, a provider may prescribe a compounded drug, which is prepared by a state-licensed sterile compounding pharmacy partner. Although compounded drugs are permitted to be prescribed under federal law, they are not FDA-approved and do not undergo safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing review.

Medication is not included in the cost of the Body Program.
